Learning Behavior Specialist/Special Education Teacher

Job Description:
Soliant is accepting applications from Learning Behavior Specialists (Special Education Teachers) based in the neighborhood of Oak Forest, IL.
One of our clients is interviewing applicants now for the 2018-2019 school year.
Additional details of the assignment: 2018-2019 Full-time Work with junior high students Self-contained classroom As an instructor in special education, daily responsibilities are described below.
Provide research-based, specialized instruction to attain the instructional goals and objectives contained within each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Assess student progress and determine the need for additional reinforcement or adjustments to instructional techniques.
Develop and implement annual IEPs for students, taking into account: present levels of educational performance, special education needs, instructional goals and objectives, and the special education and related services required to meet those goals.
Serve as primary contact for the parent.
Schedules team meetings.
Conduct special education evaluations and reevaluations.
Establish appropriate standards of student conduct in the classroom, school premises or during school activities.
Maintain consistency in the classroom to encourage student responsibility, cooperation and mutual respect.
Provide instructional direction to paraprofessional support staff: assign activities, provide guidance and instructional oversight.
Collaborate with educational professionals and community service providers (i.
e.
, social services, public health, healthcare providers etc.
) regarding the needs of students.
Consult with classroom teachers regarding classroom adaptations, instructional modifications, adaptive equipment, behavior modification plans and other similar instructional interventions to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
Attend training sessions, conferences, seminars, district and departmental meetings.
Keep abreast of changing developments in the field of special education.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
